fine fine, want an serious answer, here you go
First of all, I play WoT cause of its free 2 play concept which really works. I know there are also ways to pay to win, but lets face it, nobody was that crazy to shoot gold in randoms, it was just too expensive, and gold ammo really did not bring that much to you anyway, while gold consumables are insanely overpriced for what they offer. Premium tanks are also not pay 2 win, they're almost always weaker than their same tier regular tanks when fully upgraded, they're more something of a pay 2 progress faster. And I'm not in a hurry so I couldn't care less about that. So, free 2 play works here and it works well.

Second of all, WoT looks and feels great. I really ain't one of those people that need the most brilliant graphics to enjoy a game (currently I play 2 games. WoT and Comand & Conquer Red Alert 2 that was made in 2000, that's how much I need graphics :D ) , but the way they did it in WoT even got to me, designs are done fantastic, and that really improves the feeling while playing a game. I mean, when you for example drive a Tiger, you have that feeling that you're driving a freaking legendary Tiger, even though it's not exactly legendary here though still a good tank, you still feel awesome in it, or at least I do.

Third of all, simple, yet complex game, perfectly mixed together. On one hand, if you want to get in battle, all you need to do is click that big shiny red button on top of your screen and voila, 30 seconds later, you're blowing someone up :D . On the other hand, each tank is unique, each has its own playstyle, things that work in 1 tank might not work on another, even though they're the same class or nation, or even tier (for example, take m18 hellcat and m36 slugger/jackson/whatever its name is. Just try to play those 2 in the same way, you'll end up epicly failing at least in one of them, even though they're both turreted tier 6 american TD's) . Of course, some tanks are played similar to others, true, but never the same. Add to that the fact that each tank has its own playstyle for each map, or that you have to adjust your playstyle according to tanks you oppose, and you get about a million different ways to play this game, successfully. And about a billion ways to fail, so you always have to be careful about how you play as well :)

Fourth of all, the social element. I'm playing this game for a bit over a year now, and I made lots of new friends, met plenty of interesting people, played together and fought by their side, I even finally managed to bring 2 of my own friends to this game and that's actually a huge deal for me cause my friends rarely wanted to play the games I play (Red Alert 2 ftw :p ) . Recently I found out that even one of my bosses at work plays it :D , so we suddenly had lots of things to talk about which were very few before I found this out. Now I just gotta be careful not to shoot him if I run into him in some battle :p

Fifth of all, competitiveness. Ever since I was like 2 days old, I wanted to compete with others :p , and many many many days later, that didn't change. I took part in many competitions and tournaments before, from gaming ones to more serious ones, so that runs in my blood and WoT offers me just that. Whether it's just over a single battle, beat 15 others with a team of 14 others, whether it's clan wars, WG tournaments, ESL tournaments, even here at ogre :) , so many opportunities to compete with others, to win and to lose, to have good battles, good games.

Sixth of all, though this kinda falls under simple but complex part, the gameplay. Game appears to be quite easy to play, and really any idiot can do it. Click battle, press w s a d, use mouse to rotate turret, point and shoot. Simple right? Yes it is, and that's why many players we encounter in random battles play like they're in a high need of brain surgery cause this simplicity attracts many people, including those that were not so blessed with lots of intelligence :stupid: . However, there are so many more things than just driving around, pointing your turret and shooting here. Camo, armor, weakspots, positioning, tactics, teamplay, equipment, and many more factors come into play and that's a very good thing, cause that's what allows people that like to use that pink thing in their heads also known as brain to do better, and to have lots of fun while doing it, and when you're done, you don't feel like a braindead zombie like you'd feel playing some other game that boils down to point and shoot.

So yeah, that would be about 6 major reasons why I enjoy playing WoT, there's probably more as well but at the moment I can't put it into words properly so maybe some other time I'll add a bit more to this topic :)

edit - I was writing this post so long that forum actually logged me off while I was writing and I had to log in again when I finished writing the post xD

well what do you want, a machinegun that does the same damage as arty? :p
yes, it shoots slow, yes it's the most inaccurate gun in the game, and yes, it's the most awesome as well. Hell I killed a VK4502 tier 9 heavy with it, he had full hp, I had full hp, 2 mins later, he was a wreck, I was not :D , and that was HE shells only, with heat he'd be dead in 3 shots, or in 1 minute. And that was before the KV split, while KV was still tier 5. Do that with any other tier 5 or 6 tank. Hell, do it with a tier 7, 1 on 1 vs a tier 9 heavy and win
oh and I just remembered one of best moments I had in WoT, when KV was split to kv1 and kv2, and kv2 started going to tier 10 battles which KV was never in... I ran into a maus, shot, and boom, maus loses 300hp and maybe some modules too. And since at the moment I don't think I had even a tier 8 tank, taking 300hp of a maus felt AWESOME :D
