    They actually have a lot in common. The main being Twitch's whole business is based off servers serving up live video. It's a lot of traffic and bandwidth. Amazon has a large server business that is the backbone for some of the highest traffic sites in the world, one notable service being Netflix.

    Amazon has a lot of resources in place already and the experience to go with them, it makes a lot of sense as they essentially cut out the middle man without footing the cost of a custom setup because it already exists.

    Oh well that makes sence, I do know that Amazon's site has big traffic, but it's still a bit strange for me that Amazon bought Twitch... If you know what I mean by that, those two sites are different, twitch is about streaming games, helping the gamers to show to the world what some games have to offer, but on the other side Amazon is a place where you can buy and sell things, I also heard you can apply on amazon to work with statistics and get some money out of it :)

    It happened last night, Ogreman has been looking into an issue so I'd assume it just accidentally broke during that. As Pure said it appears to just be the rankings page, medals also broke but that would be part of rankings anyways. Points transfers still work despite ending in a database error page (it's trying to load the rankings page).

    I'm sure it'll be looked into and probably fixed later today when he gets on.

    Amazon has many hats, they are a lot more than the online retailer they appear to be. ^^ Amazon has been trying very hard to break into the gaming and entertainment industry, they actually even have a game development house. They have been doing a lot to bulk up the Amazon ecosystem, they wanna offer a lot under one roof and connect them all.

    For instance someone brought up the idea of offering a buy now button on twitch pages. Like the game you are watching? Hit that buy now button and it'll be on it's way to your doorstep. Not sure if it'll happen but it's stuff like that they've been trying to do.

    The Wargaming.net League is currently divided into multiple regions by server location. However, if you can overcome the difficulties related to high latency, there is nothing stopping you from joining a WGL region unrelated to your residency.

    Many teams decided to change their region due to playing hours as well as other team-specific reasons. However, after carefully revising these practices we have decided to introduce some restrictions to such transfers in order to help regional teams rise to fame and fortune on their home servers.

    Starting after the 2015 Grand Finals, the Regional Lock will be introduced to the WGL.

    This means that teams will not be able to freely relocate around the world. The new system will oblige every team to join their own region based on their members' residency.

    In case your team is majorly composed of members from one region but have got key players from another region, have no fear. There will still be a possibility to keep a small part of your team from a different region. Non-residents participation will be limited to a maximum of three people.
    If a team has more members from a different region, it can be forced to transfer. Forced transfer of teams in Gold and Silver Series will be handled on a case by case basis. The WGLEU Administration will review every case individually to ensure the fairest transfer to the respective series in the region the team is transferred to.

    Season 5 will not be affected by the Regional Lock, but if your team will be affected by them in the next season, it’s time to start preparing for changing your region or modifying your roster.
