Voting for Hearthstone as I just do not like MOBAs. That said, I've been very pleased with Hearthstone. It's got a nice selection of cards, the game is well laid out, the graphics and effects are pleasing and it's not terribly expensive either. It's pretty simple to play but hard to master. I'm not a huge fan of the new Gnomes vs Goblins expansion so far, the cards are kinda OP which is annoying but it definitely added some spice to the game. Overall it's a fantastic card game.

 

It's been around for years although the term itself hasn't really caught on with the non-techie crowd. Smartphones are getting bigger and largely thanks to the Galaxy Note line more and more people are buying into the big phone/small tablet size instead of having a phone and a tablet. The shift has been happening for a while now:



It's important to note though tablets with cellular capabilities are not getting more popular, en fact I'd bet they might even be at a low point right now. This is simply phones are just getting bigger and approaching into what people consider small tablet size and the press wanting a new buzz word lol.

"Phablets" are pretty handy, of course the screen isn't big enough to replace a tablet and the it's too big to be a easily portable phone but again the Galaxy Note shows it can still be a really useful device, a nice go between for people who need a mix of both but don't want or can carry both.

Is it the future? I don't think so as they all run the same software. Smart devices are the future (for now), phablets are just another screen size option in my opinion. That said, it sure does seem they are and will continue to be the in thing for now.
