I want an easy game

 

so far i'd still go for Rose, Flyff, Rohan and RO2 so far
since i don't like p2p and b2p games..

 

It doesn't need to happen often at all. The whole point of these events is to provide a beneficial situation for everyone involved, so you need to look at what each involved party wants.

Wargaming - wants more players, looks at your site, sees a lot of potential new users
Gameogre - wants more new members, looks at WoT, sees a lot of potential new members
WoT players - want ingame goodies, such as gold and premium items (tanks mostly )
gameogre members - want UGC cards and forum goodies such as forum points.

Now, since you're gameogre, and you want new members, you need to make an event in which prizes are adequate for WoT players, your potential new members, and you need to make it forum related.

Take this contest you just ended, it was pretty much exactly the kind of event you needed to get a potential WoT player and turn him into a new forum member that's here to stay - but in order to get that WoT player to participate in the event, you need to provide him with an incentive to do so. WoT player does not know what gameogre is, he/she doesn't have any use for a UGC card or forum points, so he/she has no interest to participate in your event. Only current forum members do, and besides polan and ufbre, pretty much nobody else here is an active wot player, that's why they're miles ahead of everyone else, cause they can actively participate in it and have an incentive to do so as gameogre members.

Now you did make the blog contest and the review contest which gave away wot goodies, and you did notice a lot of new members when you made those contests, wot players that wanted their goodies. But why didn't they stay (ok besides me ) - cause the whole nature of those contest was do one task, get your prize and leave without looking back, without seeing where they came. Personally, I never heard of gameogre before the blog contest, and it was my curiosity that made me explore the place once I got here, and once I did, I stayed cause it's a nice place to be at . The problem is, others did not explore, they got their prize fast and left even faster And this is precisely why you need a battlefield of honor contest, with prizes that will be appealing to an average wot player. A contest that requires people to actively participate in the forum life, explore it, see what's it like, and see that it's a nice place to stay at, like I did.

Then, after that, you can make a few contest or wot tournaments that are easy to do, that would have forum goodies as prizes, maybe even mixed with wot goodies. Not mixed every time of course, there are limits to what you can offer of course, but sometimes.

So, to summarize, if you did it this way as I suggest, you would get new members out of which some are likely going to stay, wot players will get what they want while some will get even more than they wanted (a new place to hang out on ), your current and future members will get what they want, and even wargaming is likely to get a few new players out of your own forumers - Everyone happy

(and by the way, is there a way to set my account so it does not automatically log me out of here after a certain period of inactivity, cause, writing posts this big takes time, and that means I end up logged out, having to log back in to post it which is slightly annoying xD )

I also think taht UGC cards are good prizes. We can change them to gold in game and of course for gold we are buing Premium Tanks

The bigest problem of this forum part is small number of participants. Dont lie to our selfs only few forumes participate in WoT forum part. We need to bring new people and this is the biggest problem. So we need to think how to do this?

This week’s Mid-Week Medal Hunt will be happening from February 13th at 06:10 CET (05:10 GMT) until February 14th at 06:00 CET (05:00 GMT). Whoever manages to win the Steel Wall achievement will be compensated with an additional 500 experience!

The additional experience points will be directly credited to your account when you win the medal. There is no need to register or take any special action to participate in the event.

Show those enemies what thick-plated armor was made for and have them despair in anger as you drive away unscarred to enjoy this week’s Medal Hunt!
