It would be lame no matter if she's good looking or not. I personally could not care less about her being there, I'm not looking for a girl on a WoT stream for sure xD , but about 50 guys there did think that they have a realistic chance with her so they made that damn chat a flirt fest.

The teams were good but this is how pro teams play unfortunately, they camp camp camp and then make their move in the final minutes in the game, if they make it at all. You haven't watched the stream from the start so you didn't see their games on airfield, in which they actually camped so much, that it ended as a 1:0 draw, and that 1 was an arty blindshooting a t1 cunningham. Apart from that, no tank except for SPALE's t-50-2 did not move for 10 minutes. And this is unfortunately rather normal.

When we in Balkan Rats qualified for IEM Katowice qualifier finals, we did it by camping it out on airfield too, and then by killing one of their tier 8 tanks about 2 seconds before the game ended, therefore winning on an 8 tier point advantage rule. It's boring as hell, but it's what'll get you a prize in the end. Also, those games were livestreamed too, and before that one we did go offensively on abbey and we shocked the commentators, which said that we in Balkans are crazy with our aggressive playstyle xD

If i ever get there, they will get a heart attack xD

So I guess the tactic for most games is camp and wait for enemy to make big mistake that is leading toward -1 T8 tank giving either big advantage for rush or playing even more camping and winning on +8 point rule due to enemy lacking fire power thanks to losing high tier tank?

Not saying it is bad but just boring xD
I mean i would rush their asses if i had a whole T8 tank more, simple line-up with good focus fire would end it, not to mention they are playing AMX 50 100 who is expert in "rush in, do mass dmg, get the fk out till you reload" tactic.
Damn campers, that might be one of the reasons why red players only camp, they seen it from "pro" players haha xD

    30m splash, brilliant :p

Yes, it is known as AOE (every game took it from Dota xD) which means AREA OF EFFECT and in this case it is SPLASH DAMAGE. IT works as Fox explained or as i like to explain it cause this is how they explained it long time in Dota:
Radius is from the center of the aim(since it is WoT than from the center where it hits) going in a straight line in this case 13m forward and then rotating it making it a circle with a radius of 13m.

John Walter Christie was born on May 6th 1865 in New Milford, New Jersey. At the age of 16, he began to work in Delamater Iron Works. He also started his classes at the prestigious Cooper Union in New York.

During his career he worked in many fields relating to engeneering and design: steamships, development of early submarines, amphibious tanks, artillery turrets for warships, front-wheel drive fire-fighting cars, and taxi and car racing. He was even the first American to finish the French Grand Prix race.

When one of Christie’s tank projects was rejected by the army officials due to weak results in the off-road performance tests, the inventor put all his attention onto this aspect of his tank’s development.

After 5 years of work he produced a revolutionary tank prototype, which was marked M1928. Christie named his creation “Model 1940â€, because he was certain that the construction was 12 years ahead of its time.

The most important part of the new design was the “helicoil†suspension, which had each large weight-bearing road wheel having its own spring-loaded assembly. This allowed for much better high-speed cross-country mobility than tanks with the contemporary leaf-spring suspension. The new suspension meant less space inside the tank, but it had lower profile and significantly higher speed.

However, Christie was not getting along with the officials. He was offensive and refused to adapt his projects to army specifications. In addition, there were differences in the doctrine – the army wanted better resilience and firepower, while Christie was thinking of greater mobility for the future armour. These were the reasons why only few examples of the M1928 were transferred to the military for further testing. In the end the Secretary of Defence didn’t agree to mass production.

The embittered constructor started to look for buyers abroad. It turned out that Poland, the Soviet Union and Great Britain were interested in his projects. After a long and difficult exchange, a deal was stuck with the Soviet Union.

When the Soviets came up with their M1928-founded BT cruiser tank line, Great Britain became more interested in the design. Eventually the British obtained one prototype from Christie and reworked it heavily. The result was the British Cruiser Mk III tank. In this time, the Soviets improved on their BT line up to the point of creating the famous T-34.

Later, Walter Christie tried to design new ordnance for US Army, but he never had another success on the scale of his previous breakthrough suspension. His tanks never made it to mass production in the USA. Christie died in 1944, poor and frustrated, while tanks based on his design were changing the course of history.

Wargaming to build UK education centre
Wargaming to build UK education centre | Game Development | News by Develop
World of Tanks maker's grant to enhance RAF Museum with augmented reality

MMO maker Wargaming is to sponsor Britain’s Royal Air Force Museum and plans to build an education centre that will offer attendees the opportunity to learn STEM subjects.
The education centre will be built in Cosford, and aims to provide the museum’s Access and Learning department with an important resource to engage with schools and teachers in the Midlands and surrounding areas.
Wargaming said the centre will allow the museum to develop new education offerings focusing on the STEM subjects as well as creating a space where community groups and adult education partners can take part in its exhibits.
“Wargaming is passionate about military history, so we jumped at the opportunity to help be part of a truly historic endeavor,†said Wargaming CEO Victor Kislyi.
“The story behind the Dornier 17 is truly unique and we’re looking forward to helping share that tale at the new Education Centre at Cosford.â€

The World of tanks creator will be funding an exhibition at the RAF Museum, which explores the background of its Dornier 17 recovery project, taking place in both London and Cosford.
As part of a £75,000 grant, the museum will develop new approaches to the display and interpretation its Dornier exhibition, such as augmented reality version of the Dornier flying above the Museum, giving museum visitors a glimpse of the aircraft as it would have been seen in 1940.
Visitors will also be able to view this through their smartphones and through specially created viewing equipment at the Museum. The science behind the recovery and conservation of the Dornier will be explored through a specially created mobile app.
Peter Dye, director general of Royal Air Force Museum, added: “I am delighted that Wargaming are supporting the Museum’s Dornier project by funding our exciting plans to tell the story of the recovery and conservation of the Dornier 17. This is innovative project and the support of Wargaming will allow us to tell that story in an innovative way. Augmented reality, mobile applications and the use of user generated content are new developments for the Museum and we are excited about exploring their possibilities.â€
The Dornier aircraft is the only known example of its kind in the world and was spotted by divers in 2008.
The RAF Museum isn’t the first museum to look to gaming to revitalise its chances of reaching new audiences. Last year, Nintendo partnered with the Louvre Museum in Paris to bring audio-guided tours to its exhibits using its 3DS handheld.

The Beginnings of the Tiger Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger 1 Ausf.E

The Beginnings of the Tiger Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger 1 Ausf.E | News | World of Tanks

In October 1935 the first discussions began for a tank capable of defeating the French Char 2C. Why the 2C ? Well it can only be assumed that the Germans saw this, at the time, as the greatest threat. Because this massive (69 ton) beasty was viewed by many as a liability rather than a battlefield asset.

    French Char 2C

The only certainty that arose from these early discussions was that the engine had to be capable of delivering a constant output of 600HP, and up to 700HP if necessary. This was where the legendary Maybach Company came onto the scene and discussion began. Would it be better to have a V-16 engine which meant the power could be delivered but increase the size of the engine bay or adopt a V12 which would decrease the power output.

Maybach HL210P45, the original engine from Tiger “131†at Bovington Tank Museum UK

The evolution of Tiger began- a number of firms were contracted into the programme and pitted against each other resulting in a number of prototypes being produced.

The first trial chassis was designed by Henschel the D.W.1 (Durchbuchswagen-Breakthrough Vehicle) and was to be fitted with a trial turret designed by Krupp with a short 75mm gun. This D.W series was later reclassified VK 30.01 (very similar to the Panzer IV) simply meaning it was in the 30 tonne class and version 01.

    VK 30.01 Chassis

Many alternatives were investigated but the one common theme that proved popular was the use of torsion bars running across the hull, when placed close together this of course meant that more road wheels could be used therefore spreading out the weight of the vehicle. They achieved this amount of road wheels on either side by overlapping, a characteristic that became almost unique to the Germans.

    VK 30.01 (H)

    VK 36.01 (H)
There followed various stages of the Tigers evolution, it was decided to improve the armament therefore Krupp received instructions to develop a turret for a 10cm Gun, and the VK 30.01 chassis had to be adapted, this proved impossible to keep the current weight so the VK 36.01 idea was born.

The German High Command once again stepped in and stated they now required the tank to be fitted with a 75mm gun and the armour upgraded to 100mm at the front and 60mm on the sides. Due to weight considerations and lack of materials the VK 36.01 never saw the light of day.

It wasn’t until later in 1941 that all the initial weight concerns were cast aside and Hitler himself was adamant that bigger guns and thicker armour was the key to success. Hence the evolution of the VK 45.01(H) Henschel and the VK 45.02(P) Porsche.

Plus at this time Maybach had developed the new V12 petrol engine the HL210 P45.

Worthy of a mention is that many believe the Tiger steering design originates from a British prototype Heavy Cruiser tank, but that is a whole other story.

At the time Hitler’s armies were advancing east and the terrain was strewn with flimsy bridges making the advance of Tanks problematic. As a result orders (again) were given to give the design the ability to deep wade, yet another technical problem to overcome.

Both designs essentially used the same Porsche designed, but constructed by Krupp, turret. Mounting the incredibly able 88mm gun the prototype Tiger was born.

Tiger “131†Bovington Tank Museum -Tiger Day 2013

    Summary

I have attempted in as few words as possible to give the basic evolution of this iconic tank but in doing so have only had time to highlight the main events, for example I have deliberately omitted the VK 65.01.(The Prototype 65 ton).

As you can see it was a complicated process, especially if you consider that only 1354 were ever finally built.
