How often does everyone here encounter extremely threatening comments while gaming? How do you deal with it?

I know the video game angle here is that it was during an argument about League of Legends—which means it was totally peripheral to the game—but we hear a lot about the general hostility and scary trash talk coming out of extremely competitive games. In a way, some of us have met the verbal version of that person who throws the controller at their flat screen TV.

I don’t play LoL, but it’s portrayed as a major contributor to this.

As im new here i just wanted to introduce myself (if someone cares..)

Im from germany so please excuse my bad grammar. School has been a hard time for me but i finished it with success. Ive always been the nerd in my class but i learned to live with the benefits of beeing the gaming freak because in the last years of school girls started playing MMOs as well :pimp2:

Ive played many mmorpgs and i still do as long as i have enough time for relaxed gaming sessions. Most of the time i have to work as a database coder which is my passion (besides gaming)

Im looking forward to find new friends and clans here in the forum, because right now im only active in the german scene but i want to go international.

So hello folks, here i am

Yeah. The problem with foundry is that they bug sometimes if you play it with a party. Happened when I played with Ogre too, that we couldn't leave the quest, just like it did when I played with Jared. But maybe both players needs to take the quest? I don't think that both took the quest, when we played. Not sure though x_x

I'm not exactly playing them anymore, but I did enjoy them before. I'm not really someone that sticks with a game for too long, if the game isn't good enough :p They were good, but I find some other games better u_u

Big games like Halo, CoD etc... maybe 5 ok ok 10 seconds tops lol... ok not that extreme. It's really bad in them games, I just turn off voice chat... I don't think most games offer an other real solutions. MMOs are different, bigger ones tend to have more and public voice chats always seem to be the worst everywhere.

I think it's unfair they are lumping LoL into this but I think their is some truth to these type of games Online Shooters, MOBAs etc where everyone is always in direct competition of everyone else tends to be worse than say MMO where the focus isn't on competition.

I don't play LoL either so I can't say how bad it is or isn't.

Each player can only play for one team in one tournament, cup or championship

    Victory conditions:

Each battle lasts for 10 minutes.
To win a game, the team will need to destroy all enemy vehicles or capture the enemy base.
The first rounds will be played in the “Best of 1†mode.
Subsequent rounds will be “Best of 3â€. Under this rule, a team which wins two games wins the match.
The final is “Best of 5â€. Under this rule, a team which wins 3 games wins the match. If a match ends in a draw, we will use the 8 tier points rule. "In the case of a draw, the total tier points of surviving tanks will be added up for each team. A team with 8 tier points advantage over their opponent will be the winner" (This must be checked with a screen shot posted on this specific forum within 15 min of the game’s end). If a there is still no clear winner, the game will be replayed, unless the referee/admin decides differently. The decision of a referee/admin is final.
Starting spawn points for all games will be automatically allocated by the system
Games cannot be replayed unless an issue with the set up causes a problem. Unfortunately we will be unable to restart games due to disconnections or PC crashes
    Maps:

First round games will be held on the map Steppes.
All other rounds will use the following pool of maps: Himmelsdorf, Fisherman's Bay, Malinovka, Steppes, Ruinberg, Siegfried line, Mines, Ensk.
    Casters and admins:

Official casters will be stated before any tournament starts on the forum by the admins Bump, 0xyde or Berbo, if an official caster requests entrance to a game then they must be invited.
    Replays:

Replays must be recorded by the teams from the quarter final onwards. If replays are required (i.e. to resolve disputes between teams), the details on where to send the files will be provided by the admins.
Replays may be uploaded to the World of Tanks Replays service for easy access.
How to get to the game:

All games are played on the World of Tanks EU1 server.
Teams are automatically invited to join games; there is a great guide on how this works!
As there was some confusion in the past on how to move players to participate in a round, we have created a simple guide that should help you with any possible match-joining problems.
Additionally, every player is advised to carefully read the “How not to get declined†guide.
In the event of a team-member violating any of the above regulations, the whole team may be disqualified.

Looking for team members? We’ve created a nice and easy to use forum thread to help you out with that!

Got a question about the tournament? Don’t hesitate to ask!

Tank of the Month: AMX 13 75
Tank of the Month: AMX 13 75 | General News | World of Tanks

World of Tanks. Tank of the Month - AMX 13 75 - YouTube

July is a special month in France, not only because the 14th of July is the French National Day – the anniversary of the taking of the Bastille. It is also special because in World of Tanks, this month is dedicated to one of the most famous French tanks – AMX 13 75.

From 1st July, 07:10 CEST (GMT +2) until 1st August, 07:00 CEST (GMT +2) you will be able to enjoy 30% extra credits earned in the battles played with AMX 13 75, French Tier VII light tank.

For those players who don’t have this tank yet but who would like to have it in their collections, we have good news: from 1st July, 07:10 CEST (GMT +2) until 5th July, 07:00 CEST (GMT +2) the price of this vehicle will be reduced by 50%!

    History
The AMX 13 was designed in 1946 at the Atelier de Construction d'Issy-les-Moulineaux in France. It was designed to be an extremely light vehicle that could be transported by plane and used to support airborne operations. To achieve the objectives, the tank featured several features that were unusual for the time period, most notably the turret.

The turret was of an oscillating design and was made from two parts. The main gun was fixed in position on the upper part, which could tilt to elevate and depress the weapon. The lower part of the turret was able to move horizontally.

The hull and turret were made from welded armoured steel plates, and the engine was set at the front of the chassis to provide additional protection.

The gun was fed with an automatic loading system consisting of two drums of six rounds each. This meant that the crew could engage targets very quickly, but there was a drawback – the drums could only be refilled from the outside of the turret. This meant that after firing all 12 rounds, the tank had to disengage to a safe place for reloading.

The first prototype was tested in 1948 and production began in 1952 in Atelier de Construction Roanne. It was moved in 1964 to Creusot-Loire at Chalon-sur-Saône.

In 1966, the 75-mm gun was replaced with a 90-mm medium velocity gun firing HEAT ammunition – this model was the AMX 13 90. By the early 1970s, an export model was available with an even more potent 105-mm gun.

Around 7,700 units were manufactured until production finally halted in 1987. Around 3,400 of those were exported across over 25 different countries. The vehicle has received numerous modifications and variants across the years, including to be used as a self-propelled gun, anti-aircraft systems, armoured personnel carriers and many more.

Although the tank was phased out from the French army service in the 1980’s, many are still in use by smaller nations across the world today. The tank is still a practical choice for a light reliable vehicle that can be easily modified and adapted to a wide range of purposes. As a result, after sales support and upgrades are still available to date.
