HUNS – Underdogs Joins Team WD

HUNS – Underdogs qualified for the second season of the World of Tanks Pro League and successfully proved that they are not to be trifled with. While they are currently in sixth place, they have already managed to defeat Dragonborns and Mousesports in previous games - an impressive achievement to be sure.

The HUNS – Underdogs team Team has been on the World of Tanks eSport scene for quite a while, having started their ESL career at the end of August 2012.

The Hungarian team has caused quite a stir in the World of Tanks Pro League since the beginning of the season. The jewel in the crown was getting the attention of Western Digital, and we are now pleased to announce that the team is now an official part of Team WD!

We wish them the best of luck and hope that we will see them in the finals on Gamescom 2013!

A new line of British SPGs, a new map and a number of useful improvements made - this is the new Version 8.7. Get ready, Commanders!

New Map: ‘Severogorsk’
‘Severogorsk’ is a new winter map resembling an Eastern European landscape. It introduces mostly open spaces, but there are also some buildings and facilities around the map which can be used for cover

Crusader 5.5-in. SP (Tier VII)

New Tier VI Soviet Light Tank: MT-25
This vehicle will replace the T-50-2 light tank in the Soviet tech tree:

If T-50-2 was researched prior the patch, the MT-25 will be researched as well
If T-50-2 was in the player’s garage prior the patch, it will be replaced by the MT-25
Crew on the T-50-2 will be automatically retrained for the MT-25 and a radioman with 100% training will be added
Camouflage patterns and statistics on T-50-2 will be transferred to the MT-25
Experience gathered on the T-50-2 will be transferred to the MT-25
Experience gathered on the T-50 will be transferred to the KV-1S
New ammunition will not be loaded on the MT-25
Emblems and Inscriptions on the T-50-2 will be sold for their purchase price

New Tier VII German Premium Tank Destroyer : E-25
This vehicle may look innocent but don’t let that fool you – the E-25 tank destroyer is a formidable opponent on the battlefield. Sporting an exceptionally high camouflage value, the E-25 is very difficult to spot. It is also very fast and mobile, therefore it can be used as both a passive scout and a sniper. Don't rely on the alpha damage of the gun; however the outstanding rate of fire will turn your opponent to Swiss cheese before they will even see you!

New Tier III British Premium SPG: Sexton I
Sexton I is the second Premium SPG introduced to the game. This vehicle is characterised by an extremely great range for its tier which allows it to cover almost an entire map. In addition to this, it has a good aiming and reloading time for an SPG, and thus can support the team very effectively. If you’re planning to follow the British SPG line, this vehicle will also provide a good training platform for your crews!

Balancing:
Rebalanced the T-50 tank:
Switched off the Assault mode on the Westfield & Malinovka maps.

Fixes and improvements
Reworked the maps “Highway†and “Port†for the new render
Fixed several destructible objects, which significantly slow down the speed of the tank
Fixed several issues with the match making system, which appeared after the release of the update 8.6
Extended the list of names and surnames of crew members for all nations
Corrected errors in the descriptions of the achievement prerequisites for ‘Sniper’ and ‘Lucky’ medals.

The update is now over and the download of the new content will begin once you will launch the game. You can also download it manually via the Download section.

Players with a Premium account during the maintenance will be compensated.
