Wings for AQ3D

Korin did say that it was going to be a part-time position on stream so that wasn't a surprise. More animation is definitely welcome.

 

I remember long ago artix hesitated to release wings because it may cause massive lag especially for mobile user and more specifically for potato smartphone lol. Thanks to the advancement of technology, now even most standar potato smartphone can handle AQ3D.

 

Those wings are pretty cool! They have existed for quite a long time but never made obtainable by players.

yeah, but those wing are used by daily boss who drops spider egg, black variant one.

 

See'Esem does have a darker variant of them indeed! Maybe someday AE decides to make them obtainable.

 

I doubt it. They probably would have added them to the chest if they felt confident about adding them to the game, and those wings have been around for a very long time. My guess is they don't want a room of 20 players with everyone wearing the same wings because it'll cause issues for mobile players. Would probably help if there were settings that could control those sort of issues, especially how items render and animate.

 

Or AE hasn't bothered to? They got other priorities on their plate right now. Sure, it can create issues on mobile, but what is the likelyhood of 20 players on same room wearing those same wings at the same time? I would say that it's not that high, maybe a few but not all of them.

 

it should be fine since most mobile phone even a low spec one now has a spec as same as a flagship one from 3 years ago. It's still impossible to beat PC Master Race Class consider the size comparison but flagship smartphone now able to compete with a mid spec PC.

 

Generally when developers build games, they think about the future. Maybe animated wings won't cause problems now, but could cause problems in the future if other features get implemented (e.g. mounts, customization, etc.). It's possible that the team has plans to add more stuff and don't want to overwhelm the game that it'll make implementing new features impractical.

Yeah, because it's a staff-accessible item currently. They could add the wings in-game at any time technically. If one person is equipping the wings (e.g. staff member or an in-game monster), then it's not really an issue, but I think the staff are worried about if multiple people wore the same wings.

 

I actually saw Dage use those wings during Pre-Beta when 200 player room test was going on.

They sure did! They're obtainable with Daily Boss Trophies from Cysero and they are called Stained Aurus Via Wings. They are a recolor with some ketchup splattered on them.

 

I like those bladewings you get in westmere because they are unique.
