Churchill VII, got it today and it's worse than I thought. It's sooooooooooooo slow and from me that's saying a lot, I think it's made worse by the fact the other tanks are just faster as it's tier 6 but dang... I can't really ever keep up with the front. My other issue is by the time I get there the gun (I have one more upgrade but it's not a big one) doesn't lay down enough damage to really make up for all the time I loss.

I'm gonna keep running it for a bit but probably shifting focus back to the KV line, probably going T-150 first and then KV-1S.

Actually Churchill 7 is slower than churchill 1 by 5 km/h. So you are not imagining things. And better gun will not change anyting. XD

That 5 doesn't seem like much but makes so much difference. I thought so, I've got the top gun from Churchill 1 and it seems the only better one is VERY similar with just a slight bump to pen and damage and 1 addition round per minute. Not much!

Should I stick to them guns? I don't think I really have any other choice.

And improvement is better than no improvement so go for it. But as shitty gun is, the biggest problem for me was gun depression.

O yes! I ran into that with Churchill 1 too. Hit that wall hard just a few battles in with 7, stupid thing can't aim over anything... even the slightest hill becomes a troll.

But at least churchill 1 has decent gun for its tier, and isnt that slow, so its compromise. On churchill 7 its all bad and no goods. XD

I never fear any of the Churchills in the game. The sides are like butter and they are easy to track. The fronts have some parts with good armor but then there are huge weakspots.
Russian line is just way way better.

Love my Churchill 1 even got a Mastery Badge with it which is rare for me haha but the tank is just beast. I'd have to agree though it's got issues, terrible if you have to fight more than one tank. Have to be very careful with placement because them sides are so weak. KV-1 is a bit more forgiving in that respect.

It's all about where to shoot, thankfully most people are stupid at least in Blitz and don't know lol. Buys me them few extra shots I need. In Churchill or KV-1 I always go right for the turret, flat parts right next to the gun unless of course they are silly and show the sides. They stand no chance. In fact I usually kill them so easily I wonder how I do well in it lol.

Circling is much harder in Blitz just because how the controls work so that definitely helps.

Yeah Aaddron, the main thing is knowing how to play the game. You know your weakspots and know how to hide them.
Also if you get some friendlies to cover that Churchill you can kick butt

And the best is when you can bait people into shooting your thick parts while you hit their weak ones...

It's definitely a situational thing, driving heavies also helps as they don't *have* to rely so much on getting back behind cover, at least at lower tiers. It's definitely not something to use in the open or with 4 guns pointed at you but with good cover anyways it can help soak up a shot or two

Decided to make a run at the Tiger line, accidently went light though lol. Should I stay on the Pz.Kpfw 35, 38 etc line or start over on the heavy line DW2, VK etc.?

I would advise you to go over Czech tanks (light line with Pz 35). Why?
First: DW is crap, Pz 38aN isn't much better, but its always better to be fast crap than the slow one. XD
Second: You will be able to unlock much greater number of tanks, which is good because you will have more options to choose for less invested credits and stock tank grinding.
The only question is should you go from Pz IV to VK3001P or to VK3601H. By going for the VK3001P you are hitting the detour, but that detour might be profitable.
    1. Because from Tiger P you can unlock Tiger (1) H and its top gun, so less grind on Tiger (1) H as shitty stock.
    2. Because you can go after TDs from Tiger P
3 Because you can continue up the main line and get MAUS one day.
But that is question is for you. Do you want to be Ash Ketcham and to have them all, or you just want to have Tiger. XD

Ps. Track eating on Churchill 1 and 7 is not always profitable, because quite some times i was damaged through the track. If i remember correctly when they detrack you they can pen you tough the track. But then again i was playing them many tanks before so i cant be 100% sure, and didnt try it on others because i aim always at turrets or lower plates and not in the tracks (unless RNG trols me and make my shell go where i didnt want her to go).

Alright thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I'm a little concerned about the playstyle, I'm use to more heavy spearhead or heavy support, so switching up completely might be hard. Taking the combat light line well so far though, even picked up a top gun or two along the way but it looks like the Pz.Kpfw. 38 (t) n.A. play style changes and then again for Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. H... which makes me a little nervous.

Right now I'm just going for Tiger 1, not real worried about setting up other lines. Just grinded out the T-150 (don't have the credits to buy it yet though) so this is kinda a side project while I grind out the KV-1S and save credits. I've never been past tier 6 so planning on taking the Tiger 1 very slowly if I make it to it.

Playing Pz 38aN is simple, you just run around and get killed by one or 2 shoots, no one will shead the tear for you nor will be expecting something out of you. XD
Although you can be smarter scout and wait for the tanks to get out of the base, and then think should you go and spot weaker side (binoculars and ventilation are must have, coated optics would be nice too) or spot for the stronger one. If you are spotting for weaker one you should get in the bush and do pasive scouting, if you are spotting for the attacking force you should be running around in zig zag lines not too far in front of the advancing tanks. In city maps, well i dont know, most of the time i go where mediums go, but i try to stay behind like a girl, unles they are girls too and then i scream YOLO and rush into the unknown. Most of the times you become dead as a dodo, but some times you be like:

as you run around them and shoot them, while they cant follow you with their gun.

This is usefull video for scouts. I must say that light tanks (chaffee and T37) are very fun tanks to play because you are fast, if only i could get ricing stripe on them i fould be faster then the shells that are fired at me, and if i had them in red.... well i would be able to travel trough the time. XD

And worries about Pz IV, i think you shouldn't worry too much, yeah you will not bounce that many shells but you can flank, you have better view range so you can camp in the bush (with binoculars of course) and snipe others and run when you see their will overrun you, or you need to get back to defend cap.
