World of Tanks-chat (small-talk about everything)

Anyone heard anything about World of Tanks Rush? Apparently WoT has a board game or something?

 

KV-1S (old one, Blitz hasn't split them yet) grind last night, good grief that stock gun grind is horrible... I was resorting to ramming when possible just to get some damage lol. As soon as I could I got the first derp gun, that's been a little bit of an improvement... it's now in quite the hole though lol.

 

Pz 38 NA has been more fun than I thought it would be. Spotting is pretty bad on Blitz though, the maps are small so everyone with any speed will catch up to you if you sit and wait for the enemy. Not enough bush cover either. The worst of it is charging in just makes most of the team do the same because everyone is too stupid to stay back. Getting 5 out of 7 for the spotter medal is nearly impossible without charging recklessly in, the fronts just come together too fast.

Wouldn't recommend Blitz to a Scout, then again... maybe I'm just doing it wrong. The speed is fun to play with though, it really zips around. What are some of the fastest tanks in the game?

 

I can't wait for that gun, it's still quite a ways off but it's looking really good. BTW could Hetzer really traverse that fast? It seems awfully ridiculous at times, like it's spinning on ice lol.

 

I tried to flank him in my Pz 38 nA but I didn't have enough run up and the acceleration killed me. He just flipped around and BOOM. Hezter OP plz nerf. xD I hate Hezters especially when they aren't on my team. xD

 

Matilda is so OP it can't be nerfed. It's transcended beyond the control of the game developers

 

I've determined tier 4 at least on WoT Blitz is like rolling dice. You either carry or it's complete luck. Hard to carry in the Pz... my Pz 38 nA keeps on losing, I've had games of 1000 damage and still lose lol, the players of tier 4 is about as noob as it's gets.

Had one where the other team went full on stupid and all hid in the same corner, I spotted them all and was keeping them lit, they were super content with staying right in the corner... meanwhile a few of my team is taking horrible pot shots at them while the rest sit around... yes AROUND the cap. Why on earth would you sit AROUND THE CAP if you're in position with cover to sit IN the cap?!?! They literally had to go through half our team to just get into position to fire on the cap.

It makes no bloody sense. I finally got fed up and went to cap myself. We almost had it a few times but they were so focused on the battle they'd drive out of the circle! By the end of the match I was killed with high 80s on the cap, if just ONE of them would of stayed or capped when they should've we would've won.

 

Indeed, I've had tier 8 games like that but tier 4 seems to be littered with them. Even the stats reflect something weird, I'm 60%+ in every tier 1-5 except 4, which is 49%. Tier 6 is 45% but I'd chalk that up to I'm still grinding out all my tier 6 tanks. It's so weird that just tier 4 has such a drop off.

 

On another note the Pz 4 isn't that bad at all. The grind has been super easy too, practically everything is 4k and under. I wish the rate of fire was a little better and I'm not sure what it is but every time I use bigger german guns especially at range they feel different than the russian counterparts... they go whacky at times.

I can't quite get the timing at range... almost like they are slower? I have no problems landing a derp gun at range and on the move lol but a accurate german gun? Please! I can't hit them sitting still. xD I always joke maybe it's just too accurate so I'm over correcting. Anyone else get any oddities with german guns?

 

Right? I swear my KV-1's 85 is more accurate than anything I've ever used anywhere else. Almost always hits the mark. Pv4's hit rate is down from the rest of my tanks, in fact all my german tanks are down a little although most of them used auto cannons so that's kinda justified.

I might be going back to WoT PC for a bit. 1.8 has a massive bug for me and if they don't fix it I can't play at all... either gonna play WoT PC or War Thunder, I've got the tank itch and was really looking forward to playing more.
